My Approach to Wedding and Portrait Photography

Malcolm Harris Photography offers you a proven record of photographic excellence, whatever the task, whether wedding photography, portrait photography, journalism or commercial work. I can arrange portrait sittings for adults, children and/or pets, singly or in groups. I take the photographs in your own home or in a suitable location either indoors or out.

My wedding style has developed over many years. I include both formal groups and informal candid pictures of both the bride and groom and guests. I follow the wedding party through the big day from preparations before setting out to the moment when the happy couple sets off on honeymoon so you have a wonderful total record of this very special occasion.

I regularly supply local papers with images and have a reputation for capturing the moment in original and striking ways to add impact to a local story.

My interest in photography began back in my early teens, experimenting with an old Kodak Duaflex II and my father’s box brownie. Their limitations soon led to the purchase of my first 35mm camera, a Praktica Nova 1B and the start of my life long passion in photography.

Three years in a London advertising studio gave me the opportunity to observe the work of other photographers and develop my own unique style. My love for travel soon took me around Europe and two years working in Switzerland followed.

Further trips included; Africa, India and Australia and I developed a special interest in Nepal whilst working for the I.N.F. (International Nepal Fellowship); a charity devoted to improving the well-being and health of the Nepalese people.
